Freeride Day Mellau-Damüls

The snowy region of Mellau-Damüls, with its numerous runs, ski routes, variations, and couloirs, is one of the freeride hotspots in the Bregenzerwald and Vorarlberg. Breathtaking views from mountain peaks over 2000 meters up to Lake Constance make every freerider's heart beat faster.

  • Every Thursday
  • Duration: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (4 hours)
  • Requirement: Skiing experience in off-piste terrain, minimum 3 to maximum 6 participants
  • Cost: €115.00 including avalanche transceiver (LVS) and safety equipment (excluding lift ticket), rental fee for freeride skis from €40.00 (if needed)
  • Skill level: Freeride knowledge required
  • Registration: By 3:00 PM the day before at the Mellau ski school office

Frequently asked questions and answers about freeriding

As a recreational skier, can I just turn up on the spur of the moment to join a freeride tour?

Not entirely on the spur of the moment, and not for beginners: you must be able to ski confidently off-piste. Group sizes range from 3 to a maximum of 6 people.
 

What is included in the price of the freeride tour, and what extra costs should I allow for?

€115 per person, including an avalanche transceiver and safety equipment (excluding lift pass). Freeride skis can be hired separately from €40 if required.

By when do I need to book a freeride tour?

By 3.00 pm at the latest on the day before at the Mellau Ski School office.
